MY LAST TWO GALLONS OF COLD DRINKING WATERCulebra Road Crew 8:37 pmCulebra is four by seven miles. You might have heard of it because it was one of the islands the US government used for target practice. That ended in 1975. We have no mail delivery, no drug store, no x-ray machine although there is talk of one. We have no newspaper but we have this wonderful woman named Pam who sends out emails about what is going on. Below is my email to her regarding the on going road crew. They are still working and will be doing it all night, so says the one man who spoke a little English. The only two gallons of cold drinking water went to the eleven guys I saw. More trucks down the road, wish I had more cold water for them. Luckily this cold tar doesn't smell. This little neighborhood's roads, had been neglected but our new Mayor saw that we had a problem. When he came to my house while campaigning I pointed out a road problem and he fixed it as soon as he was elected. This guy is not a politician, a regular Joe who is environmentally conscious. So although it is hot and noisy there will be no more complaints from me. Thank you Mayor Ivan Solis.Sue
