Dear EmailNation Subscriber,

When the unbelievable story of Manti Te'o's fake virtual girlfriend broke, Notre Dame's response spoke volumes. Te'o's bizarre soap opera moved Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick to openly weep during a press conference. Meanwhile he hasn't spared one tear, let alone held a single press conference, for Lizzy Seeberg, the young woman who took her own life after coming forward with allegations that a member of the team sexually assaulted her. Dave Zirin has more.

All best,
Peter Rothberg, The Nation
