WW2 Lili Marleen (1939 Version)

IN DER BAR ZUM KROKODIL (English Lyrics-German below)

Comedian Harmonists Lyrics
In bar to the crocodile

Hear history by Mrs. Potifar,
those uncommonly experienced was,
hör' too, hör' too: That was
the Mrs. von Portifar,
those uncommonly experienced was
in all dear things.
The husband however, outer versus Irish,
that was already old and konn't no more,
tirili tirila, which guard small woman.
There it whistled on the Stittsamkeit
and 'a point dress made itself
and drove down there to Theben,
in order to live it up there.
Because Theben is for Memphis,
what Lausanne for Geneva is.

In the bar to the crocodile
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile,
operated completely incognito
the Joseph and the Pharao.
There one dances only three-quarter-naked
in the Rumba and Dreivierteltakt.
It meets with the loving
in the evening completely Egypt itself,
in the bar to the crocodile
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile.

The husband of the Mrs. Potifar,
that became soon the Chose clear,
it went down there to Ramses.
“I know, what makes my wife,
it drives each night to Theben.
Yes, majesty, there ham'ses. “
There drauf the Pharao said,
there we make it likewise,
it sehn' it is as stupid here,
in the restaurant Osiris.
Therefore gehen' as philosophers
we also after Theben schwofen,
into the bar to the crocodile,

at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile.

There they sat down with benefit
into the pyramid bus
and fuhr'n outside after Theben.
There it gave to girls, quaint,
partly slim and partly chubby.
The husband of the Mrs. Potifar
besah itself there the girl crowd
and spat on the ground.
The Ramses asks: “Wiso?”
On which the answer schallte:
“I think of my old person!”

In the bar to the crocodile
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile,
operated completely incognito
the Joseph and the Pharao.
There one dances only three-quarter-naked
in the Rumba and Dreivierteltakt.
It meets with the loving
in the evening completely Egypt itself,
in the bar to the crocodile
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile.

A slim girl, black masks,
that fascinated the two.
They bought her narcissuses.
The husband of the Mrs. Potifar,
than the Ramses was faster,
tirili, tirila,
wollt' they gladly kiss.
As it to Ramses returned,
there sadly it lowered the view
and saw disturbed to ground.
The Ramses asks: “Why?”
On which the answer schallte:
“The woman was my old person!”

In the bar to the crocodile
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile,
operated completely incognito
the Joseph and the Pharao.
With Ramses sat heut in bar
the husband of the Mrs. Potifar
and ate from a fig sheet
chopped mummy with spinach,
in the bar to the crocodile,
at the Nile, at the Nile, at the Nile

Höre die Geschichte von Frau Potifar,
die ungemein erfahren war,
hör' zu, hör' zu: Das war
die Frau von Portifar,
die ungemein erfahren war
in allen Liebessachen.

verkehrten ganz incognito
der Joseph und der Pharao.
Dort tanzt man nur dreiviertelnackt
im Rumba und Dreivierteltakt.
Es trifft mit der Geliebten sich
am Abend ganz Ägypten sich,
in der Bar zum Krokodil
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil.

Dem Gatten der Frau Potifar,
dem wurde bald die Chose klar,
er ging hinab zu Ramses.
"Ich weiß, was meine Gattin macht,
sie fährt nach Theben jede Nacht.
Ja, Majestät, da ham'ses."
Da sagte drauf der Pharao,
da machen wir es ebenso,
sie sehn' wie doof es hier ist,
im Restaurant Osiris.
Drum gehn' als Philosophen
wir auch nach Theben schwofen,
in die Bar zum Krokodil,
[ Find more Lyrics on http://mp3lyrics.org/aey ]
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil.

Da setzten sie sich mit Genuß
in den Pyramidenomnibus
und fuhr'n hinaus nach Theben.
Da gab es Mädchen, drollige,
teils schlanke und teils mollige.
Der Gatte der Frau Potifar
besah sich da die Mädchenschar
und spuckte auf den Boden.
Der Ramses fragt: "Wiso denn?"
Worauf die Antwort schallte:
"Ich denk an meine Alte!"

In der Bar zum Krokodil
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil,
verkehrten ganz incognito
der Joseph und der Pharao.
Dort tanzt man nur dreiviertelnackt
im Rumba und Dreivierteltakt.
Es trifft mit der Geliebten sich
am Abend ganz Ägypten sich,
in der Bar zum Krokodil
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil.

Ein schlankes Mädchen, schwarz maskiert,
das hat die beiden fasziniert.
Sie kauften ihr Narzissen.
Der Gatte der Frau Potifar,
der schneller als der Ramses war,
tirili, tirila,
der wollt' sie gerne küssen.
Als er zu Ramses kam zurück,
da senkte traurig er den Blick
und sah verstört zu Boden.
Der Ramses fragt: "Wieso denn?"
Worauf die Antwort schallte:
"Das Weib war meine Alte!"

In der Bar zum Krokodil
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil,
verkehrten ganz incognito
der Joseph und der Pharao.
Mit Ramses saß heut in der Bar
der Gatte der Frau Potifar
und aß von einem Feigenblatt
gehackte Mumie mit Spinat,
in der Bar zum Krokodil,
am Nil, am Nil, am Nil

BUKKA WHITE...~FIXIN' TO DIE

I'm lookin' funny in my eyes
And I believe I'm fixin' to die
Believe I'm fixin' to die
I'm lookin' funny in my eyes
Now, I believe I'm fixin' to die, yeah
I know I was born to die
But I hate to leave my children around cryin'
Yeah

Just as sho' we live
It's a, sho' we's born to die
Sho' we's born to die
Just as sho's we live
Sho' we's born to die
Yeah
I know I was born to die
But I hate to leave my children around cryin'
Yeah

Yo mother treated me, children
Like I was her baby child
Was her baby child
Yo mother treated me
Like I was her baby child
That's why's I sighed
Sighed so hard
And come back home to die
Yeah

So many nights at the fireside
How my chillen's mother would cry
How my chillen's mother would cry
So many nights at the fireside
How my chillen's mother would cry
Yeah
'Cause I told the mother I had to say, goodbye

Look over yon-der
On the buryin' ground
On the buryin' ground
Look over yonder, on the burying ground
Yon' stand ten thousand
Standin' still to let me down
Yeah

Mother, take my chillen back
Before they let me down
Before they let me down
Mother, take my chillen back
'Fore they let me down
Ain't no need a-them screamin' an cryin'
On the graveyard ground.

BACK TO BASICS

The "Rubik's Cube" of Twitter is now returning to square one. After 64 weeks(a perfect square)of messing around, I'm going to make it easy on myself and interact from just the original @tqnews account.
The account @wtqd will be used only to gateway various music and cultural apps that send to it by default. You can follow there, but I'll be following only my primary account for TD logistics.
Three other accounts have been flattened, but not deleted, so that if I see a future need for them, they can be rebuilt.
Yes, there are still Six blogs and this message board, and that remains the same.

You did...WHAT??

Jill's little ditty has been overshadowed by the Katie Perry tune of the same name. I like this one better. What do you think?

RUPERT OF HENTZAU and THE CAST OF "FOX NEWS"

You're god-damned right it's a SILLY PLACE. The more I read people lambasting Beck and his fellow Fux, the deeper this scene has become embedded in my head and the louder has been the musical Tinnitus.
